A childhood friend lost
David you were a friend to all while we were growing up. You were gone before I went but, you are not forgotten.

With him
We were in the same Huey chopper landing in a hot LZ at night. Our "ride" was shot out of the air by an b40 rocket about 15' up which blew us out of the door. Adams was on the side facing the fire. Everyone was a KIA on that side. I received a bronze star for valor trying to crawl back out to the burning helicopter to rescue him but his death was instant. May he RIP for giving the ultimate sacrifice.

do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will never truly die....
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.
