Thank you
I am posting remembrances for the Gridley High School posting project in Gridley, Illinois. Our school is trying to give one to every fallen soldier of the Vietnam War. I just wanted to say how much your sacrifice is appreciated and will never be forgotten.

You will always be a hero
Dear Edward,
For the Gridley High School Posting Project, I would like to take some time and thank you for all your effort to help your country. The bravery you showed is hard to find. You knew that you could lose you life but yet you put your country and fellow Americans in front of you. You will never be forgotten for your service to this country. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
God Bless,
Ashley Kiefer

Remember
I grew up with the Haggerty family, and while I don't remember much of Eddie, what I do remember is a fun loving youth, strong and sure of himself. That he gave his life in service inspired me to join the Army. May he rest forever in peace. Michael R. McGonigal
