Our thanks to you, Gordon
Gordon, my daughter & I visited you today at the wall. Before today, we never knew you. Reading previous remembrances we've come to know a little more about you. We suspect you might be a relative of a friend of ours, yet to be determined. We did make a rubbing while we reflected on what you & your comrades sacrificed for all of us. While doing this, a veteran stopped to help hold the paper in place for my daughter. He waited oh so patiently, my daughter thanked him, & with a twinkle in his eye he said, no, thank you, take Gordon home & always remember. We will. Rest in Peace, Gordon, knowing you have not been forgotten. Thank you for your service.

Thank You
Dear PFC Gordon Gunhus,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
