DEAR PFC BAKER,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS A GRUNT WITH THE 12TH CAVALRY, 1ST CAVALRY. THIS WAS THE UNIT OF A FRIEND'S TWIN. SAY HI TO MIKE IN HEAVEN. HALLOWEEN IS APPROACHING, AND ALL SAINTS AND ALL SOULS' DAYS - THE DAYS WE HONOR THOSE WHO LEFT US. MAY THE SAINTS AND ANGELS GUIDE YOU. REST IN PEACE.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC David Baker, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Angel Day

I cannot thank you enough for your service to our country and for the ultimate sacrifice you made of your life. Your service and sacrifice were not in vain; you and your fellow brothers-in-arms who lost their lives in Vietnam War have been and will be a source of good for generations to come. Rest well PFC Baker.

On this your Angel Day I leave this beautiful Eskimo fable:

“Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.”
