THE WALL OF FACES

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.

Today, during its trip to Washington, DC, Gooden School eighth-grade students left a letter at The Vietnam Memorial for Frederick, who resided near the school in Sierra Madre. Sierra Madre residents Grace and Anthony presented the note.

Thank you Frederick for everything you have done. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for us. You will never be forgotten.
