It's Sunday Afternnoon - The Big Red One
Well, it's Sunday afternoon and I am looking at the list of men who were killed on this date in Viet Nam.
It's close to Christmas and I think about how difficult it was for family members, not only when someone was killed in the month of December, but in every year after that. The Christmas season was always a reminder of intense pain.
Kenneth Edward Grove was 23 years old and had been in the Army for four years.
He was married and his home of record was Parkton, Maryland.
Kenneth had been in Viet Nam one month and five days, when he was killed, December 15, 1966.
He was a member of the First Infantry Division.
Godspeed Kenneth!
