My name is Ryan and I am from Gridley high-school I am making remembrances for the Americans that were lost in the Vietnam War. These soldiers have made a great impact on our country today. Thank you for your sacrifice and I am proud to be an American because of you.

Even though, I didn't know you very long, I still miss you dearly. I wish you could be here enjoying life with us but I know you did an honorable thing by fighting for our freedom. Please watch over us and keep us safe. I love and miss you.

Alan was a very kind man who loved his country. He was proud to be able to serve his country. He believed that it was right to protect the rights of people everywhere. He was a wonderful friend to everyone that knew him! I miss you my friend!
