Ground Casualty

PFC David A. Crilly was a Tactical Wire Operations Specialist serving with D Battery, 8th Battalion, 6th Artillery, 1st Infantry Division. The Headquarters for the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division was located at Lai Khe Base Camp, located along Highway 13 to the northwest of Saigon, RVN. On June 7, 1969, Crilly died of a reported accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound at Lai Khe. He was posthumously promoted to Corporal. [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org]
