I didn't forget
Sorry it took me so long to post another note. I'm still here ,by the grace of God.
I don't know exactly what to write, our country has been through one hell of a time in the past year.
I escaped the savagery 6 blocks away from where I was working, lost 12 people I knew, but
thankfully, no one close.
All these years and still no reason for all the losses we have had.
While life is great for me, through it all, I just wanted to make sure you knew I didn't forget you.

I'M SO SORRY
It's doubtful we were related, but, man, I'm so sorry we had to meet like this.
It's the 21st century, and you aren't here to see it. I know you're in a better
place because of your sacrifice.
Things are OK here now, not perfect, but better, I think, because of what
you gave your life for.
We'd be much better if we had you here with us.
We now know (or at least are more aware of) what the war was for. Why we
were there may or may not have been right, but that's not why I'm writing this.
I'm writing this to let everyone know that our Nation and the world should
never forget, never stop grieving over the loss of you and the others, not
only in this war but in every other since time began.
Clearly, we will remember you and the others who gave 'The ultimate sacrifice'.
Our nation (and the world) should learn, and it has somewhat, that
"War is not the answer".
- In the words of our day -
"PEACE ON!!"
Again, I'm Sorry, hopefully, we've learned a little more than we knew before,
and we'll learn more from this time forward.
John
