To those who have posted a remembrance for my uncle
I want to thank everyone who has posted a remembrance for my uncle. After many years of research, my family learned of exactly what happened to him and some of the men that were with him the day he died are still alive and I stay in contact with them. So everyone knows, it makes his family’s heart warm and full when we read what everyone posted thank you.

Thank You
Dear Wo George Grega,
Thank you for your service as an Utility/Observation Helicopter Pilot. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

George died on the same day and place as my neighborhood friend, Thomas Curtis. I wonder if they were together, if they helped each other...
As a mother and grandmother of Airmen, I cannot imagine the emptiness in his family's heart, but I do know there are strangers, like me, who pray for all of you, and thank George for serving our country.
there are no words to help, but I hope this will help you understand, he is not forgotten
