Remembering An American Hero

Dear CPL Edmond Junior Greer, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

A letter to my brother

My mother wrote this letter for her brother.

I was just thirteen years old when you went away to go to war, and god called you home to be one of his angels.

I am fifty two now, but haven't forgotten you.

When I was a little girl you where my body gaurd. you would take care of me and your in heaven now watching over me.

I just wanted to let you know your not just a name on a wall. ( You are my big brother Bub.)

You are a part of my life now as you were here.

I have two children now, I have a daughter her name is Kristy lynn and a son his name is James Edmond. Kristy Lynn is alot like you in many ways, and James Edmond is your namesake. I know you watch over them as you watched over me as a little girl.

I just wanted to say thank you for being there for me when I needed you and thank you for being there for our great country when they needed you.

I just know you will always be in my heart. I love you .love your Little Sister

P.S. Bub you have Mom and Dad in heaven with you now tell them that I love them.
Don't forget to watch over my family and me. BY Linda Kay Greer Stokes

Not forgotten

Edmond, Although we never met, I just want you to know that you are not forgotten. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life for what you believed in. Sleep well my friend, and thank you for protecting the freedoms we have today.
