A Beautiful Young Man

Uncle Donald, your life touched ours in the most unexpected ways. You were so much a part of our childhood small details emerge. the silk pajamas you sent home, the letters, Gran Greeneā€™s intense expression and our constant attention to the television. Your loss was felt so deeply by my father, He loved you a great deal and continued to honor your legacy through his work with veterans. On the 4th of July I pray that your sacrifice for our country will not be lost and social justice will prevail for all in our own country. Love your niece Carol

Thank You

Dear Cpl Donald Greene,
Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

To My Uncle Donald,

I am so sorry for what you had to go through in the war, you were so young and such a good person. I was very young, but I still remember you like it was yesterday. I have been learning about the good friends you had over there and am grateful for that. I hope you have been reunited with your parents, and my father, who loved you more than he could ever say. RIP Uncle Donald.
