My granddad
To come from such a distinguished bloodline and know the story of how this family has fallen since. I'm sorry granddad. I'm sorry your son turned out to be what he is and I'm sorry it took me so long to find myself. I made us look look real bad pops. I got you runnin all through me and I'm the only one. My brother is stuck under mom's skirt at 50 years old. I'm a 47 time convicted felon. We did bad pops but I'm trying to clean us up before I'm gone. I love you pops. I understand. Nobody else in the family dose because they don't have it in em but I git it. We are wolves desperately trying to be sheep. How strange it is to have compassion and value life but be utterly capable of destruction. Thank you for your service grandad. Tell grandma I love her and I'm sorry she didn't get to see me stand back up. I know it hurt her to trun her back on me but it was well deserved at the time.

Old E-8 Bruce Fonda (now 91) fellow Bowler
I remember bowling with Tom at Bertchsgarden Germany and met him again while on TDY in Vietnam 3 months before his death. Knew him from Finance 126th section. Very friendly and loved bowling with him at tournaments.

do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
