If I should die...remembrances for MAJ. Lee Attilio GRECO, USAF...who made the ultimate sacrifice!!!
If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heartt, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine..Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

My Dad
Like my sister's (Dena Landrum) comments indicate, my Dad was a great inspiration to me as well. I was 10 years old when he died in Vietnam. He was posthhumously promoted to major and received several medals and commendations, including the Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross. I looked up to him then and later, when choosing a career, I leaned naturally to the Air Force myself. It's too simplistic to say "I followed in his footsteps," but he did influence my decision a great deal. Needless to say, I miss him hugely even 35 years later.
