Thank You
Dear Sp4 John Gray,
Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Tribute to Sky Soldier
On behalf of the 173rd Airborne paratroopers who served with you and have followed, we offer our remembrance and admiration for you sacrifice in the Central Highlands. And we hope your family has found consolation in their loss and pride for your gallant service.
I was with the 3rd Battalion when Bravo Lima platoon was attacked and decimated. At the time I was working in the S-1 office and we helped arrange for the bodies of the 11 KIAs to be respectfully placed in a new platoon tent with individual cots for each so the Graves Registration staff could process them to go home. Then we had a memorial service at Camp Rock near Bao Loc.

Brother In Arms
I was there, April 7, 1969. John and I were good friends. Many memories. We all were hit hard that day. All of us were shot up. If we had not run out of ammo we could have fought longer. John was my brother. I miss him and all
the others. He is not forgotten.
