I showed the special on Warrior point of view. It’s amazing that anyone from your unit had survived against overwhelming odds. You went way above the call of duty and sacrifice yourself and help and protect your fellow brothers. You deserved that medal and so much more. I know your family are proud of you and Of your service.. I commend you and pray for your soul my fellow Vietnam soldier, though I did not know you.

True hero and a role model for bravery

It’s amazing what you and your men did against overwhelming enemy forces.
The actions that you took despite being severely wounded we’re Way beyond what any one would expect, you are a credit to the army and military in general for you act of heroism.

Thank you sir for your bravery and courage . I don’t know you but through the articles I have read about you in the book Nine Days In May . I’m not sure if my brother PFC William Allen Blackwell was in your platoon . He to was Killed on May 18, 1967.
You sir will always be remembered . Thank you for your service .
