THE WALL OF FACES

Fithy-five years have passed since I received notification in Vietnam that CPT Warren Goss was KIA on 6 December 1968. Shortly thereafter, I escorted his remains home for burial in the presence of family and friends.
The memories of my close friend and brave warrior are indelible.

Major Goss was awarded both the Silver Star and Bronze Star V for his heroism.
By the messages from fellow soldiers, you were a true leader.
Rest you peace with the hero's.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.

You will forever remain in our hearts and prayers

We can never truly repay the great debt we owe our fallen heroes. Without people like you our great nation would not exist. Rest in peace MAJ. Goss, I salute your brave soul. My heart goes out to you and your family.
