Hi Doc: Your daughter wrote one helluva book about here growing up without you.
I met Lori in D.C this past November at the Reading of the Names. We had communicated earlier that summer when I head her story on the Echoes of the Vietnam War podcast ( sponsored by VVMF). When it first came out I listened to it 3 times in the space of 3 hours I was so touched by her words and stories. I then bought the book and could not put it down. I was a Marine over there the same time as you and I owe my life to Navy Corpsmen such as yourself. I was an arty FO on Hill 861 at the Siege of Khe Sanh. I did bring my FO map of the Khe Sanh area home with me and it stays in my desk. The week before meeting Lori in D.C., I asked my wife to cut out the section on my map that shows Valentines Ridge at Ca Lu. She had it matted in blue and gold ( Navy Colors) and framed. I was so pleased to give it to her. S/F Dennis
