Thank you Ken

Dear Ken, Thank you for your beautiful post for my dad. Michael Reagan mailed me an incredible pencil sketch portrait of my dad this past Christmas. I see it every morning when I sit in my favorite chair to read my bible and begin my work day. This morning when I saw the picture I told my dad how much I need him. The idea of him watching over me from heaven brings me great comfort.
Sincerely,
His only daughter,
Lori Jo

Thank You Vietnam HS Restore

To the gentleman who cleaned my dad's stone, Thank you very much. Your post about the cemetery are understood. The township trustee is working hard to find a solution so that the men and women buried there will be shown the respect they greatly deserve. The state has provided some support. I am hopeful that the next time you visit the resting place of the Vietnam Veterans that you were searching for you will find a very different situation at their graves. Thank you again for showing my father so much respect. The men of Kilo 3/9 thank you too! Sincerely, Lori

Marker cleaned July 5, 2024

Good afternoon Lori - I was looking for Larry Fankboner in section G at Estates of Serenity but could not find him. In my search of section G rows, I stumbled across your father's resting place (and Vietnam KIA Carl Dingus further up the hill). I cleaned Doc's marker with D/2 biological cleaner (same as they use in Arlington). The excess mold growth and dark staining will recede naturally with the weather over the next several months.

I travel to private cemeteries in central Indiana and clean/maintain Vietnam KIA markers (over 50+ now visited). I post tributes on my X account (@RestoreHSVt). Larry's tribute was posted today.

It's clear your father meant a lot to you and I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to know him. Please take comfort in knowing there are many people out here who appreciate and remember the sacrifices made by your father and others in the Vietnam War.

Petty Officer Goss I appreciate your service and devotion to your Marines. You answered the call when many refused. I pray you watch over your Daughter from heaven. I will see you at the Big Formation.
