Veteran's remembrance
I have thought of you often Dale. You were nearly three years younger than me, so we didn't hang around much, but I do remember you playing baseball on Cambria's high school team. Like you, baseball was the sport I enjoyed most.
I too went to Vietnam (June, 68 to June, 69). By the grace of God, I did return home, and am more thankful today than I was back in 69. Over time, nearly 31 years now, I have come to realize how mortal we are, and how precious life really is. I wish you were home Dale, and we could sit down and talk about baseball, life and all things good.

Playing Catch
I remember you when I was very young. We played catch in the lot next door to your house. I remember one particular day, you were throwing pitches because you were on the little league or school baseball team. I was down in the catchers stance when you told me to "Watch this one, it will be a curve ball." It curved all right, hit me square between the eyes. and knocked me out. Another thing I remember was the time you broke your leg wrestling with your uncle Emery. We had an age difference, you were older but it seemed that it did not matter to you.
You will never know how much you influenced my life. I have your rubbing displayed in my home. I think of you often and wish we could play catch again. I miss you, Take Care. Bobby Evans, as you liked to call me.
