I HAVE HIS MIA BRACELET WOULD LIKE TO SEND IT TO HIS FAMILY

Please leave a message here if you are his relative and would like to have the bracelet sent to you. My husband found it on the beach in California back in the 90s and has kept it safe all this time. Now with the help of the internet I think we have found Thomas and hopefully, his family.”

I’m Cpl Thomas A. Gopp’s cousin. His mother, my father’s sister, died unexpectedly shortly after his 2001 internment.

I’m the de facto family genealogist due to interest and being the youngest of my generation.

I plan to archive my work with the Ohio Genealogical Society. I would love to include Tom’s bracelet there.

Please contact me.

Also, if anyone viewing this served with my cousin, please contact me. I want to include personal stories from his brothers-in-arms in our family history.

Sincerely,
Patricia Myers

My Cousin

Let us all thank and support this website. It’s a great archive of American valor.

I’m Tom’s cousin. His “tough as nails” (it runs in the family) mother was my aunt. “Bulldog” would be an appropriate description of her personality. No wonder my cousin was one of the best.

I’m the de facto family genealogist due to my being youngest of my generation and general disinterest in such among the rest. Unfortunately, my Aunt Mary, his mother, wasn’t able to tell me his whole story. She died unexpectedly shortly after Tom’s internment in Ohio due to a surgical complication.

I plan to archive all of my work with the Ohio Genealogical Society for posterity.

I reach out to anyone who served with Tom to tell me about his service with you. Also, I understand his MIA bracelet was found. I would like to receive that as a family member.

Thank you all for your condolences.

Sincerely,
Patricia Myers
