Specialist Four Pedro Acevedo Gonzalez, Served with Company C, 4th Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 199th Infantry Brigade, Americal Division, United States Army Vietnam.

Fire Support Base Nancy was located in northern Long Khanh Province next to the village of Dinh Quan. On January 21, 1970, troops from 4th Battalion, 12th Infantry, 199th Infantry Brigade, were moving munitions when a box of 81mm mortar rounds exploded for unknown reasons. The 8:50 AM blast killed thirteen U.S. personnel and wounded two others. The lost Americans included (from C Company): PFC Claud A. Davis, SP4 Terrance L. Drea, CPL Thomas M. Gaither, SP4 Pedro A.
