Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Larry Eugene Gonzalez, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Thank you

Thank you for giving your life so that we could have a better one here. I have never meet you but I have seen pictures of you and news paper clippings. You were friends of my two older brothers Larry and Garry Godwin. My mother would often bring up your name. I allways think of you on this day and im sure so does my brother Larry. God bless your family.

A Tribute

I served with Mike Company 3/1 in Vietnam from 67 to 68 and have created a tribute motorcycle with all 206 names of our Marines and Corpsmen who made the ultimate sacrifice. To view the pictures of the bike go to www.youtube.com and search "Buds pics of bike" May we never forget.

So Young

I went to high school with Larry. He was 2 years younger that I was but the same age as my brother. He along with another of his friends gave their lives after only a short time in Viet Nam. I think of him often and look back on his picture in the high school year book and wonder what he might have become had he had the chance to live. Larry T. Miniard-Daphne, AL
