GI Son Killed,
Father Dies

A 47-year-old Reading man celebraating his birthday while on vacation in Maryland collapsed and died Friday when he learned his son had been killed in action in Vietnam.
Francis E. Bagenstose, the father of Pfc. Thomas J. Bagenstose, 20, was pronounced dead at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, Md. He suffered an apparent heart attack.
The Defense Department said his son was killed by small arms fire in the Mekong Delta.

You Will Always Be Remembered

My name is Phoenix Marr and I am a senior at Gridley High School. My teacher has started the Gridley High School Posting Project that gives all of the students an opportunity to write remembrances for those men and women who gave their lives while serving our country. You were a very courageous individual who stood by this country when we needed you most! Your services are very much appreciated and recognized! You fought for our country without ever giving up! You were an amazing person with amazing strengths. Thank you for everything that you did for this country! You will always be remembered. God Bless.
