A special brother

51 years ago we were told of your death. The moment is still fresh in my mind and always will be. You were the best brother I could have asked for. We have a memorial of you in our yard under our flag. Miss you so very much! Thanks for your service.

Thank You

Dear PFC James Glover,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. There is a photo on this wall of the man leaning against the wall. I read he just passed. Now he can speak to you. Merry Christmas. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

A Lasting Impression

You would not remember me nor would your family, but I remember your death left a lasting impression on me--simply another member of your home church congregation. I was younger by several years, but your sacrifice made me much more aware of the war and what young servicemen did. I went on to be an English teacher and always included literature of the Vietnam War. The intent was to make young people aware of the world around them and those who sacrificed so much. Your memory and service have remained alive all these years.
