Thank You

Dear Lcpl David Girardo,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Merry Christmas. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Memories

David, your mom and mine were friends when you were in high school. After your mom died, you and Larry hung around sometimes and I had a big crush on you, handsome " older man". You used to stand by the door on one leg like a stork, seemingly not sure how to say good-bye and leave. I still stand like that; wonder if I learned it from you or if I always did it? We were so devastated to learn that you had been killed. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice.

Thank you

You were older than I in high school, but you were kind to a girl from a poor family who needed a friend to talk to. You rode your bicycle from Glenwood Springs to Rifle to say hello to me before you left country, but I missed you.
You were one of the kindest people I have been blessed to know.
