THE WALL OF FACES

Do not stand at my grave and weep

Brigadier General Charles Jack Girard was awarded the Silver Star Medal for his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action. He served as a General Officer and was assigned to HHC, CAPITAL MIL ASSIST CMD.

Brigadier General Charles Jack Girard, Served with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Capital Military Assistance Command (CMAC), United States Army Vietnam.

I was an E5 serving with Jack when he passed away in Vietnam. It was a sad day for CMAC, and we mourned him as best we could. Gone these many years but not forgotten. Be at peace.
