I knew Dave, Starr and Fred. We were all working out of the 40th Communications Detachment in Danang. We were on several huey missions together. I was angry that I was sent to Dong Ha instead of Quang Ngai. I shocked when I retruned to find that they were gone. I also look for them on the wall replicas. I also found them on the wall in Washington. "I will remember and recover not forget and forgive"

Bronze Star Medal Award for Valor
Specialist Four David Lee Gilmor was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his exemplary gallantry in action. He was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Merit for his sustained meritorious service. He served as a Military Intelligence Coordinator and was assigned to the 571ST MI DET, 525TH MI GROUP.
