Michael Gidvilas
To the family and friends of Michael Gidvilas,
In honor of Michael and the ultimate sacrifice he made for our country, I had the privilege of reading his name at 3:16pm on November 8, 2007 at the Viet Nam Memorial Wall in Washington DC in celebration of the 25th anniversary of its dedication. It was with much pride that I was able to do this for his loved ones who were not able to be there for this very notable event.
Michael is no longer with us, but is remembered in the hearts of us who reflect on the sacrifices these brave young men made for the freedom we enjoy today.
May he rest in peace.

Never Forgotten
ALWAYS REMEMBERED
Slip off that pack. Set it down by the crooked trail. Drop your steel pot alongside. Shed those magazine-ladened bandoliers away from your sweat-soaked shirt. Lay that silent weapon down and step out of the heat. Feel the soothing cool breeze right down to your soul....and rest forever in the shade of our love, brother.
