Garcia brothers honor Isidro

This June of 2021 three brothers of Joe C Garcia visited the memorial named in tribute to Isidro Baca in Socorro NM. It is indeed a fine tribute to a friend of our brother Joe. Four brothers, along with Joe, served during the Vietnam conflict. Three of us were in the military at the time of Joe and Isidro's deaths. We had planned to go to the memorial park on Memorial Day last year and this year but the pandemic threw a wrench in our plans. Anyhow, to the family of Isidro we send our saludes and we want them to know we have not forgotten their loved one. We pay tribute every year in Angel Fire to not only Joe and Isidro, but to all the other of our familia and friends who gave their lives without question. We love, miss and hold them in high esteem. We remember Isidro when we remember our brother Joe. To Isidro's family, farewell and stay safe.

Anniversary

Today is the anniversary of your death (51) years have gone so fast and yet it was 1967 yesterday. I remember your every word to me at the airport as you headed to a distant land. You told me you world return one way or another and asked me to save a rose for each month you're gone. The roses were six beautiful yellow roses waiting for you upon your arrival. Thank you for all the wonderful memories, until we meet again. All my love, your cousin Evelyn
