My neighbor and hero
I grew up next to Bruce's family. I was only 3 or 4 years old. I remember hearing how proud his parents were of their son being a pilot. I was too young to understand the war and why we were sacrificing our young men. I know his parents were always so proud of him as were we.

do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

My Dear Cousin
9/11 is not only a remembrance of the twin towers in 2001, but also the day we lost my cousin, "Brucie" . I was 9 yrs old and remember sitting with him in my aunts garage in the blue Ford thunderbird, he said "when I get back I will let you have this car and I will teach you to drive it too", of course he never made it back. He was killed flying a medical hellicopter , landing to save a fellow comrad on the ground a hand grenade was thrown into his copter. He was the only child of my Aunt and I will never forget his funeral and how hard it was on us. He was a wonderful person and every time we go to his name on the wall in Washington DC, I always touch his name and leave a dime. LOVe you Brucie, we miss you dearly.
