My brother Bob’s best friend!!

My brother and Jay were best of friends growing up in Linglestown.
They both graduated from Central Dauphin High in 1964. We spent time at their club house at the bottom of the family property. My brother was heartbroken when he heard about his best friend’s death in Vietnam. Bob passed three years ago but he always remembered growing up with Jay.

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Jay Geyer,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Happy Advent. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

My Best Friend

Jay was my very best friend growing up and through our years at CD High School. He went into the Army and I joined the Marines. I found out that he was killed in action when I was stationed in South Carolina, before my deployment to Vietnam in December of 1967. I have thought about Jay many times over the years and have even dreamed that he was still alive. He is surely missed by his friends and I still have many memories of the antics that we pulled in those carefree teenage years.
