my paran

on december 15, 1968 i entered the world with many people loving me. on febuary 25, 1969 one of them perished while serving our country. while never feeling his touch, i feel his love every day of my life. he is my gardian angel. he left behind three sisters, and after 33 years since his death, he is still loved very much. growing up i was told what kind of person my paran was; smart, funny, and a great personality. well, i cant wait to meet him. a wise lady told me that everything happens for a reason. although i don't know what the reason was behind his death, i do know it was god's will to take him at the time that he did. one day i will perish from this world and i know he will be waiting for me with open arms. i will finely feel the touch of a great man. i look foward to this day.
much love always,
your godchild, mark

My uncle, Butch

Although he died while I was 6, I have a few distinct memories of the short time we were together. The questions from my childhood regarding his life came to fruition a few years back when I was reunited with his wife, my aunt, after 30 years. Everyone I've spoken to about him, my mother and aunts, educated me as to the person he was...kind, loving, generous, and most importantly, loved and admired by all those whose lives he touched. I can only hope that I've grown to be half the man he was. Butch, I know you're up there watching all of us and waiting for the day when we're reunited again and we can catch up on all the precious times we've lost. You know you've always been in our minds and hearts, and you will always be there. I've often wondered how my life would be different if you'd come home. For now, we'll all walk the road of life wondering what if, and when we finally reach the cross-road, maybe you can answer so many questions I've longed to ask of you. I love and miss you.
