Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Anson Thorne Geronzin Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

From an old friend

I served with Tony co. E recon, 4/31 196th inf. American Division. He was a wonderful young man that died with about ten days left in country on a mission that he did not have to go on. He wanted to protect a couple of new guys and thought he could help prepare them for what they would be up against. R.I.P. Tony, God Bless you.

A Face that I will always remember

We never met in this life but your ultimate sacrifice is something I will never forget. We were on the same dustoff that terrible June day your fight was over, my wounds were minor, as I sat next to you on that chopper and looked at your face I felt a loss as only another soldier can know. Rest in peace my brother you will always be in my memories.
