I was in eleven years old when I heard of his loss, and although I never knew him, I think of him as though I did. I visit the place in our hometown where he rests. Since I was a child he has been in my thoughts, and I'll always wonder what this young man must have been like. Something tells me he had a warm smile and a great sense of humor. It's been many years and there is still a need to know about him. Maybe it's a linguring of grief for something so tragic. I am so sorry for his loss and all of the lives that his loss has affected.

I never met my Dad. He was killed on his way home.
