THE WALL OF FACES

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. It remains my fervent hope you will be returned home after the passage of so many years.

I attended the 8th grade with James. Even then you could tell he was headed for greatness. Even though he attended a different high school, I knew him all thru that high school period and it was a joy to be in his company. He was a kind, gentle young man that had leadership qualities that made you want to be with him whenever you could. Killed in action leaving behind a young wife and daughter and so many friends. God had a place for him in Heaven so we will meet again some day soon. Until then he occupies a special place in my memory.

For both of us, the first crew assignment was on the same SAC crew for four years. Paul’s desire was escape SAC and fly fighters. He was a good friend to everyone.
