I was just a kid when I got my POW/MIA bracelet with your name on it. I didn't really understand war at that point, but I knew you were somewhere far from home in a land that must have felt so strange from your hometown of Chicago. I have carried you with me all my life and you have never been more than a thought away. Thank you for your service, thank you for your sacrifice, thank you for being a hero to me and to your country. You will never be forgotten, ever. Much love always
