Team mate

Frank and I were sniper team mates and pulled many ambushes together. He used to wear his favorite "Aussie" hat when out in the field. I was gone the day Frank was killed. I will never forget him. We spent many a long, cold, rainy night looking through our starlight scopes. Miss ya buddy....once a "Bobcat" always a Bobcat! Jerry Sears

Thank You

Dear Cpl Frank Gasperich,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Happy Thanksgiving. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Best Friend

Frank was my best friend in Joliet Township High School and Joliet Junior College. And the University of Illinois. He taught me how to play chess and we played at his Church. He saved me from getting into trouble growing up.

He was a great class mate in math, physics, chemistry, history and we helped each other studying I envied him to a Christmas Party at my Grandmother's with other family members and all had a great time.

I put up a flag pole and fly the flag in his honor every day. I have named a fishing spot after him.

Frank was a shy person and low key. When I read of his death my first thought was that he should not have been in the military. I am 71 years old and still miss him.

Joe Alcamo
