Heroes are made when they make a choice. You, dear soldier, made a choice to sacrifice all you loved to insure the future of the Land of the Free. You paid the price that saved other’s lives. The choice to protect your country was an admirable deed that demands undying appreciation for those whose lives you saved. You sir, are a hero. God bless you.

I am posting remembrances for the Gridley High School posting project in Gridley, Illinois. Our school will always remember you for giving your life in order to help the United States of America provide a bright and hopeful future to its citizens. You will always and forever be in our hearts and minds for this heroic feat of courage.
