In honor to Dallas Tyler Adair Jr.

Dallas and I have never met that I can remember. We are 2nd cousins with George W. Adair and Emily P. Tyler being our common ancestors.

I want to thank all of our military service men and women who serve their country. We are free because of your sacrifices. To Dallas, thank you for the ultimate sacrifice.

My Cousin

I remember you Dallas Tyler Adair Jr. We visited you and your family every summer. You were a handsome and good natured young man. I thank you for dying for our country to help keep it free. I will see you again one day in heaven.

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.

Never forgotten

I do not know Dallas. Our only connection is our nationality. However, because of my nationality, I am forever indebted to what Dallas did. I am taking this time right now, to express my gratitude for his selfless act in service for our country. I thank you Dallas. Our country will never forget you, nor will I. God Bless, & may you rest in peace. (Posted as part of the Gridley High School posting project.)
