Our beloved cousin,
I wasn’t 12 yet when you died in service and I only have vague memories of you. Memories of you skateboarding when we came to California on vacation. Memories of the loss everyone felt during the days and years. But we have not forgotten you and cousin Liz and I named sons after you. Love you always!

Thank You
Dear PFC Christopher Garcia,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Today is Election Day. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Chris, my friend
We used to talk between classes and walk home together each day, you would turn left and I would go right. I was just 16 when I read of your death. I still was in High school 2 years behind you. I tried so many times after school to go knock on your door to say something, anything to your family. I wanted them to know what a special young man you were and how I loved you but each time I only made it to the sidewalk in front of the house. I knew what to say, but I did not have the courage to knock on your door. I see your photo now and remember your laugh, your smile and your gentle way. Chris, I am sorry I never made it past the sidewalk. You are remembered in the fondest way.
