Thank you for your sacrifice. For giving the only life you had for the people who you loved and the people who didn’t even know. Your sacrifice is one of courage and love.

William H Gamble, I dream about your experience and I talk to you daily. I am your descendant, one of few that are left. I understand you and 9 of the Gambles lost at war have watched over me my whole life. Thank you.

So not only do I want to thank you for being a great uncle to me, and for doing your duty for our country, but also for helping me to write my book. A book I think you would have loved.
