THE WALL OF FACES

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You were born three days after me and died five days after you 21st birthday. I am now 73 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

I only had a few minutes to meet my uncle on my first trip back to Wasco as a teenager before i went about my day. In my stay in Wasco for the summer i learned that he had been in Vietnam and of course made it back safe. Months later i was saddened to hear that he had enlisted for a second tour and on that tour he had given the ultimate sacrifice. I thank him for his service but wish he would have made back alive. Every memorial day i remember my uncle and the sacrifice he made . For as long as i live i will never forget . May God keep him safe in heaven.

UNCLE JOHNNY I JUST WANTED TO SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN HEAVEN TO YOU AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED BY YOUR FAMILY I KNOW THAT YOU WERE AT WAR AND DIDNT GET TO MEET ME IN PERSON BUT AFTER YOUR BELONGING CAME BACK TO THE FAMILY I SEEN THE BABY ANNOUNCEMENT THAT MOM HAD SEND YOU AND YOU KEPT IT UNTIL IT RETURNED TO US WITHOUT YOU. I WISH YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HOLD ME IN YOUR ARMS AT LEAST ONCE. WHEN I SEE YOUR BROTHER UNCLE TONY WE TALK ABOUT YOU ALL THE TIME I FEEL LIKE WE KNOW YOU MORE AND MORE EACH TIME THROUGH HIM AND HIS STORIES AND PICTURES OF YOU. GOD BLESS TIO WE LOVE YOU ..
