do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

As long as you are remembered you will never die....

To My Brother

My heart is still broken since you paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. You are always in my prayers. The good news is that someday I will get to see you on the other side in eternal life. Many family and friends still remember you and how you touched them in your short life. Your nephew, whom you used to refer to as "Butch" has your namesake. Your Marine friends provided the picture for the "Wall" and in behalf of our family we thank them. I miss and love you forever. "To live is Christ, to die is gain."
Sister, M
