Memorial Day 2024

Dear Nick! I wanted to write this before Memorial Day this past weekend but time got away from me! I was fortunate enough to take part in Memorial Day celebrations in both Harleysville and Pottstown this past weekend. I wanted you to know that you and your sacrifice are NEVER forgotten. I think of you throughout the year!! To you and your fallen brothers in arms I pay my deepest respects! We all owe you a great debt which I know we will never be able to fully repay! With my greatest love and respect! Robert T Sacks

He is never forgotten, Susie!

Nickie, when I was a little girl in Minnesota, my parents were house parents in Northstar dorm where your sweet Susie lived. She told me all about you and often showed me your picture on the ceiling above her top bunk. She loved you so much, and felt so loved by you! I can never forget her pain when she lost you. Fifty-six years later, I still remember your name, your sacrifice and your love for her. Thank you for loving God and her so deeply. Your big heart made a lasting impression on me. We never met, but you changed my life.
