Remembering An American Hero

Dear CPL Craig Philip Averill, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Thank You

Hello, my name is Jacob Averill, I have no relation to this individual, I am from the Howard Lake Waverly Winsted public school district. I am doing this because we are doing a project for my world hisory class. Today in school we had a Vietnam Veteran come in and talk to our sophmore class. This speaker had a great impact on the way I felt about the Vietnam War. I took this time to post this thank you because I understand that there are alot of Vietnam veterans that were mistreated after the war and that they did not recieve that many thank you's. Im posting this rememberance because I felt like i needed to thank some one that fought and died for this great country we call home.
