NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters.

Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.

School Project

In school we are going to Washington DC for our 8th grade trip. We were each assigned someone on the wall to leave a decorated cross for. I was assigned Tom Perry Acton. I would like to pay my respects.

The Best Uncle

Tom Perry Acton was not only the one of the bravest men in the war, but he was the best uncle anyone could ever ask for. Right after he volunteered to go back to Vietnam, I asked him to shave off his mustash for me which he did. He would have done anything for not only his family here, but for his brothers in the USMC and for his country. I love and miss him so much and I am proud to fly the American flag each holiday in rememberance of not only him, but all who died or were injured for my freedom.

Was stationed with Gunny Acton in Bermuda right before he went to Nam. We were all very saddened to hear of his death. Ron Morgan
