Ground Casualty
SSG Masaichi Fujimoto was a postal clerk serving with the 1st Administration Company, 1st Infantry Division, U.S Army Republic of Vietnam. Employed in the Military Postal Service, Fujimoto’s duties included receiving, sorting, and dispatching all types of mail. On April 2, 1967, he was at Di An Base Camp in Bien Hoa Province, RVN, where he reportedly complained of chest pains and subsequently collapsed and died of a heart attack. Fujimoto, 41, was a 21-year veteran of the U.S. military. [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org]
