Hero
Dear George,
I am a student at Gridley High School in Gridley, Illinois that is doing a project
that involves making remembrances for those who died to defend our country. I would
like to take this opportunity to thank you for your bravery and heroism during the
Vietnam War. Any person that has helped defend our country will always be remembered
as a hero. I never got the chance to meet you, but I want to thank you for everything that
you did. May God bless you and your family.
Sincerely,
Kelsey Zehr

As I grew older and became friends with your Parents I always sensed the lonliness and emptiness they always felt. You as I learned were the only child and the world to them. I always looked after your parents, Now that they are very advanced and in nursing homes the house stays empty and a sorrow passes by me as I often think "WHAT IF ..."
