WE WRITE AND I MENTION HOW I MISS YOU AND WHAT WE SHARED TOGETHER IN 1969.. SO LONG AGO. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THAT YOUNG TO ME. INDEED THERE WERE 57 AMERICANS THAT DIED ON THIS DAY.. 57 ! I KNOW THAT YOU WERE ONLY THERE 12 DAYS.. I DO WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO FIND OUT HOW YOU DIED AND WHO YOU WERE WITH. DIDNT HAVE A CHANCE.. WELL UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN. YOUR FRIEND FROM SOUTHIE.

JUST LOOKING AT THE MEMORY I SHARED SOME YEARS AGO. NO OTHER POSTINGS DEAR FRIEND. I STILL REMEMBER YOU. YOU ARE 55 NOW. RESTING IN SELKIRK~ THE PLACE I VISITED. SHIRLY AND I FINALLY MET AGAIN. STILL TALK ABOUT YOU. SHE TURNED OUT TO BE QUITE THE WOMAN AND EVERYTHING YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY WITH JARED. LOTS OF OUR 227 PLATOON GUYS FROM PI MUST BE THERE ON THE WALL WITH YOU. I WILL KEEP LOOKING FOR THEIR NAMES. NEVER EXACTLY FOUND ANYONE THAT WAS WITH YOU THAT LONELY DAY YOU DIED IN AUGUST OF 69. HARDER THAN I THOUGHT. ITS 2003 NOW AND 1969 SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY. I M STILL WITH THE FIRE DEPT IN BOSTON. NICE TO REMEMEBER YOU .. AGAIN.. TILL WE MEET AGAIN.

Jared and I were in plt 227 at P I we bunked next to each other there and became friends. He and I pulled together to get through the long days at PI.. Jared talked alot about his town and his girl Shirley . She was the one that called me in south boston to tell me of his death, 15 days in country.. didnt have a chance I guess. I went to his town.. near Albany and met his girl Shirly and his family. Saw the town and the places he talked about. I wrote his mom several times.. she's moved since. I guess there's a sister in Taunton MA.. I would like to meet her.. Jane..I am at Fire HQ in Boston.. 617 - 343 3630.. I guess I am on a mission to meet some of the boys that we graduated with.. Met RYAN, and a few others. Jared your mom sent me picks of you.. I have them. We were gonna change the world when you got out.. thanks for being there for me I hope I was there for you..
