Sergeant Douglas Lawrence Fried, Served with Company H, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, Third Marine Amphibious Force.

Sgt Fried was my Sgt in Vietnam. Would like to talk to someone that knew him.

Dear Sgt Douglas Fried,
Thank you for your service as an Antitank Assaultman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Didn't get to meet you. You passed before I was born. Mom tells great stories of you. Every time we drive over a veterans bridge, we kiss or fingers, place them above or heads and say, "hi uncle Dougie." Really wish I could have met you. I've read some of the letters you wrote home. Heeled me to know you as a real person. Mom mom really misses you. I know you will help her find her way in heaven some day. Take care, and I will meet you when I come home someday.
